1. Scope
These terms apply when you visit redmapleadventurers.com, open a Red Maple Adventurers account or receive the pre-registration Welcome Offer. Using the site or creating an account means you accept them. If you don’t accept them, please stop using the site.
2. About Red Maple Adventurers
Red Maple Adventurers is a free co-op exploration video game that runs in a web browser. It is in pre-registration and is not yet playable on this website. Registering now sets up your account and holds the Welcome Offer for you until launch.
There are no real-money features in the site or the game. Nothing here can be purchased, won or turned into money or any other real-world reward.
3. Accounts
- You create and open your account with an email address and a magic link that works once. No password is involved.
- Anyone who can open the magic link can enter your account, so keep your email account secure.
- Each person may hold one account. Accounts are personal and can’t be sold, shared or handed to someone else.
- The email address you give must be valid and yours.
- If you haven’t reached the age of majority where you live in Canada, a parent or guardian must be involved and accepts these terms for you.
4. Welcome Offer
The Exclusive Welcome Offer (4,500 Whirly Seeds + Pip, together with the other items shown on the homepage) costs nothing. It is attached to your account when you pre-register and delivered in three drops, on Day 1, Day 3 and Day 7 after launch. Each account receives it once. If the launch date moves, the drop schedule may move with it, and we’ll let you know by email.
5. Whirly Seeds and other in-game items
Whirly Seeds are the in-game currency of Red Maple Adventurers. Whirly Seeds and every other in-game item have no monetary value and can’t be exchanged for cash, moved to another account or redeemed anywhere outside the game. You receive a personal, limited licence to use them in Red Maple Adventurers; you don’t own them.
6. Playing fair
- Don’t cheat, use bots or exploit bugs, and don’t run unauthorized software against the service.
- Don’t harass other players or use hateful or abusive names, messages or content.
- Don’t try to get into another player’s account or disrupt the service.
Accounts that break these rules may be suspended or closed. Where the law requires it, we’ll explain the reason.
7. Our content
The Red Maple Adventurers name and logo, the characters (Pip, Marlow, Juniper and the rest of the crew), the artwork and the text are owned by us or our licensors. You’re welcome to share links and screenshots for personal, non-commercial use.
8. Service and updates
We aim to keep the site running, but we can’t guarantee it will always be available. Features, launch plans and these terms may change. For a material change we’ll update the date at the top and, if you hold an account, email you before the change applies.
9. Limits on liability
The site and pre-registration are free. As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for indirect or consequential losses. These terms don’t take away any right you have under your province’s or territory’s consumer protection laws that can’t be waived by contract.
10. Closing your account
You may ask us to close your account whenever you like by using the contact form. Any Welcome Offer drops that haven’t been delivered yet are cancelled when the account closes.
11. Applicable law
The laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario govern these terms. If you live in another province or territory, its mandatory consumer protection laws still protect you, and you may bring a claim before its courts.
